NOMAD Creatives Menu

The “Me, Myself & AI” project provides a unique opportunity for our Media arts students to explore the intersection of human creativity and artificial intelligence. By comparing their interpretations of source prompts, such as song lyrics, poetry, lines from stories, or quotes, with the AI-generated art produced by Midjourney (using the same prompts), students can gain insights into the creative process and how different humans and machines are when it comes to producing creative artifacts.
Through brainstorming and the use of abstract concepts, students are challenged to think deeply about the source material and to express their ideas in unique and innovative ways. While working on their digital art, without being informed, the same prompts that inspired each piece were fed as data points to Midjourney to generate the AI image below each student’s work.
While it may be tempting to compare and judge the quality of the outputs in this project, the main focus of the student’s work is on their ability to think creatively and independently beyond the capabilities of the machine they are using.

It’s been a long day without you, my friend, and I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again.
– See You Again by Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth

Daniel C.
Walking down a broken, lonely road
I am here, but still in the past to friends and dreams, So far away.
I still walk, day by day
I feel something
I look down
An insect crushed underneath my foot
I gaze down and wonder how we are alike
It fights to escape my crushing feet just like me fighting back broken tears, but for who am I fighting forward for, for me? Or for those I left behind?
In the end, will I find peace? Will they return with joy and smiles?
Or will I fall, never find hope or love again?
But, ever on I walk, to hope or despair, I know not
