Why A Short Film?

Interdisciplinary collaboration in integrated arts involves converging various artistic disciplines, such as visual arts, music, dance, and theatre, to create a cohesive and innovative creative product. The creation of a short film serves as an exemplary demonstration of interdisciplinary collaboration in integrated arts. In this context, individuals from different artistic backgrounds, such as filmmakers, visual artists, musicians, and actors, come together to contribute their expertise and creativity to the project. The collaborative process involves integrating various art forms, including visual storytelling, cinematography, sound design, music composition, and performance, to craft a narrative that transcends the limitations of any single medium.

The result of this collaboration is this year’s first-ever film project for Mr. Galang’s Gr. 9 Integrated Arts class.


Get ready for a sparkling comedy adventure as we dive into the whimsical world of Tylia, where cleanliness is not just next to godliness – it’s an all-out war! Tylia’s obsession with cleaning is a harmless hobby but takes a sudsy turn as she unleashes her mop-wielding madness on her unsuspecting school. In this uproarious tale, Tylia becomes the custodian chaos queen, turning classrooms into spotless sanctuaries and hallways into organized mayhem.



In the eerie realm of “The Hunt,” a seemingly ordinary day turns sinister for two unsuspecting students, Jillian and Gianpaolo, who find themselves late to school. Little do they know, their tardiness is a stroke of luck, shielding them from the nightmarish fate that awaits those who arrive on time.


Marf, a perplexed and disoriented individual, finds themselves trapped in a surreal and mysterious classroom with no recollection of how they arrived. The room seems ordinary, yet an inexplicable force prevents Marf from leaving. Each attempt to exit only results in a disconcerting loop, as if the classroom itself is playing tricks on them.


In the quiet corridors of their school, two students find themselves reluctantly stuck after school, determined to put the finishing touches on their long-overdue project. As they delve into their work, something leads them to explore the school’s forgotten corners, unearthing a dark secret that sends shivers down their spines.


In the bustling world of high school, where the line between reality and virtual realms blurs, we meet Victoria, a brilliant yet distracted student with a passion for video games. As her crucial English project deadline looms, Victoria finds herself at a crossroads between levelling up in her favourite virtual universe and levelling up in the real world.
