Gr. 11 Media Arts – Dreamscape Gallery

Surrealism is a cultural movement that began in the early 1920s and is best known for its visual artworks and writings. As far as visual arts were concerned, the artists themselves were entrenched with not only the works of surrealist poetry but also the work of Sigmund Freud and his study of Psycho-Analysis.

Inspired by this important art movement, our students are tasked with keeping track of their own dreams in a 2-week period. Once their dreams were recorded, they re-created them digitally by applying what they learned in our compositing lessons using Photopea.
