Unleashing Creativity: Introducing Sacred Heart’s Media Arts Council

In the dynamic and ever-evolving world of digital creativity, Sacred Heart has recently unveiled an exciting addition to its vibrant student life: the Media Arts Council. Stemming from the fervent desire for a collaborative space fostering innovation and exploration in digital artistry, this club has quickly become a hub for budding artists and tech enthusiasts.

To this end, the council has provided an inclusive platform for students to delve into many digital tools, including iPads, Mac desktop computers, and various mobile software applications like Procreate and Clip Studio Paint. Furthermore, the club encourages the utilization of industry-standard digital imaging, modelling, and photo editing software such as Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, and more, ensuring that members are equipped with the skills needed to get started in our current creative landscape.

The weekly meetings, held every Tuesday in room 206, are meticulously structured to facilitate a comprehensive exploration of various digital art forms. Divided into three distinct segments, the sessions offer dedicated spaces for honing skills in digital painting, character drawing and design, and photography, emphasizing portraiture. The Media Arts Council aims to nurture a community of versatile and well-rounded creators by catering to diverse artistic interests.

Whether you’re a seasoned digital artist or someone taking their first steps in digital art and design, the Media Arts Council welcomes all individuals with a passion for exploring the intersection of technology and art.
